Hello! Welcome to our FCA WY Blog.

We hope that the stories and updates here give insight into what God is doing in our square state. We want to engage, equip, and empower our WY athletes and coaches, along with our amazing FCA community of volunteers and supporters.

That’s why…

We would like to share with you in this post 3 ways to give to FCA WY:

  • Prayers to Empower
  • Time to Engage
  • Gifts to Equip

One of the best ways to help FCA WY continue ministering and serving Wyoming Coaches and Athletes is PRAYER.  Last year's Camp, we enlisted week long, 24 hr prayer warriors to cover our Campers, Camp Huddle Leaders, Volunteers and Staff in praying without ceasing.  It was an amazing experience...but this summer - while Camp may be cancelled - the need for prayer continues!

Indeed, with so many challenges and disappointments this season of life, we believe what better way to pray for FCA WY then to pray the following prayer for us and YOURSELF - "YES LORD!"  We want the rest of 2020 to be YES to anything God has for us. We found this prayer in the devotional below.

FROM GLOBAL GRIT DEVOTIONAL:

Over the years, I have read, memorized and even written hundreds of prayers. But there is one prayer that I believe has the power to transform lives. I usually utter it dozens of times throughout the day–most of the time out loud. It is a two-word starting point. This prayer has helped me understand both the simplicity of prayer and the power of God. What is the one prayer that will change your life?

“Yes, Lord!”

When we pray these two words, we acknowledge God is in charge and we are not. We give up control and place all of our trust in Him. The Lord is constantly moving in our lives through the power of the Holy Spirit, and when we simply pray, “Yes, Lord!” we are responding to His leading and direction. We are placing Him in charge of our lives.

“Yes, Lord!” is…

a prayer of surrender

a prayer of obedience

a prayer of faith

a prayer of confession

a prayer of gratitude

a prayer of humility

a prayer of brokenness

a prayer of sacrifice

a prayer of trust

Every time I pray these two words, I place God first in my life. I reboot my heart and return to what is most important… God as my Savior and Source. We start a spiritual journey when we pray these two words, and we stay connected when we pray them too. When we say yes to God, we are saying no to everything else. It places the Lord Jesus Christ at the center of our lives.

God can even use the weakest “Yes, Lord!” for His purposes. Pray the prayer that can change your life and the lives of others. “Yes, Lord!” is a breakthrough prayer that can be used to revitalize your prayer life. The Lord is pleased when He hears you speak these two words. Pray them aloud. Pray them silently. Whatever you do, just pray “Yes, Lord!” and experience His power and presence.

WILL YOU JOIN US IN PRAYING "YES, LORD!" - TO GIVE OUR SPORTS MINISTRY and Our Vision and Mission to God and put all our trust in Him, placing Him in charge?

Along with prayers, giving your time helps FCA WY.

This can mean many things.  Leading. Attending. Serving.   Whether it is leading a virtual Huddle, joining your local FCA Task Force Team or Board, or attending our Virtual Banquet (and hopefully face-to-face, in person events with the coming months!) - we want you to belong to our TEAM.

You see, a big part of our ministry comes from directly ENGAGING with the Sport Community.  We want to impact and influence our Coaches and Athletes with their Sport and with their faith in Jesus.  Of course, these past few months have meant temporarily changing what that means.

However...

As we look to the summer, fall and future sports seasons, we hope you will be a part of it! We cannot wait to meet together again and FELLOWSHIP.

Gifts to Equip

Lastly, if you feel led to give to FCA with your prayers and/or time...

Will you consider also giving financially to support FCA Wyoming?

As a sports ministry and non-profit organization, we need donations to continue training Staff and recruiting volunteers, to organize our ministry efforts and impact communities.  This means we must find support at and within our local levels.

FROM FCA.ORG:

Our vision at FCA is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. God has called us uniquely to the sport culture. We are answering His call, but we need teammates like you who desire to give generously of your resources. We believe that, in turn, you will be blessed as you are a special part of touching the lives of coaches and athletes.

Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.  2 Corinthians 9:11

As each FCA field office raises their own local support in the U.S and around the world, there are many opportunities to give.

We are encouraging our Staff and Donors to prayerfully consider AMP (Automated Monthly Payments) as the best way for good stewardship and helping FCA. Will you prayerfully consider giving this way?

yes, i want to donate.

That's about it - the 3 ways someone can help FCA WY in 2020. Give Prayers to Empower. Give Time to Engage. Give Gifts to Equip.

We hope in the coming weeks and months as we meet together again and/or continue virtual ministry that all our prayers together and individually would be "YES, LORD!" to whatever He desires and plans for our sports seasons, school year, and ultimately our hearts and lives.

Thank you for reading and see you at the Night of Champions: Virtual Banquet

With Covid-19 restrictions this past April, FCA WY had to postpone two events we were really looking forward to: SE Annual Banquet in Cheyenne and our first ever Night of Champions: Live Streaming Event.  Now, we are combining these two events into one Virtual Banquet:

  • Register Today for June 25th @ 7:00 (the same night that would have been our Black Hills Sports Camp Evening Chapel!)
  • Listen to Guest Speaker Marcellus Casey, Kansas City Chiefs Chaplain
  • Hear Student Athlete/Coach Testimonies
  • Get A Sneak Peak of a Night of Camp

Blessings,

-FCA Wyoming
